The Lascom Group joins the Acoustic Innovations Group

The Acoustic Innovations Group today signed the contract to acquire New Zealand telecommunications and hardware supplier, Lascom Ltd and Lascom Acoustics (Lascom Group).  This acquisition will come into effect on the 15th of November 2011 and brings together some of the strongest telephone, peripherals, defense contracts and recording brands in the Australian and New Zealand Markets.

Lascom Ltd has had over 20 years of experience in the New Zealand telecommunications market and boasts an average annual turnover of NZD 8 million. An expected 12 employees, led by Managing Director Keith Thomason, will join the Acoustic Innovations Group under the Lascom brand. The company will also move their Headquarters to Auckland, the country’s commercial and cultural center.

The acquisition will allow the Acoustic Innovations Group to consolidate their position as a fierce challenger in the international telecommunications industry. Together, Lascom Ltd and the Acoustic Innovations Group hope to combine local market knowledge and experience with effective management practices and strong buying power to accelerate the individual strategic initiatives of both companies.

Craig Alvarez, Managing Director of Acoustic Innovations Group, stated that; “The acquisition of Lascom Ltd provides Acoustic Innovations with a strong foothold in the New Zealand market. Together Lascom and The Acoustic Innovations Group will deliver more comprehensive, competitive and effective communication solutions to the New Zealand market.”

Keith Thomason, Managing Director of Lascom also commented on the acquisition;
